My story actually begins out on the open water. Anyone who has ever sailed through the night knows that specific moment: The magic. It’s when the coastal lights have long since dipped below the horizon, and you suddenly realize you’re no longer just navigating the sea—you’re floating beneath an incomprehensible dome of stars.
That sheer fascination for nature and the silence of the night never let go of me. What started as a gaze upward from the deck has become a passion: I wanted to take a closer look into the void.
From the Railing to the Telescope
This website is all about the hunt for light that has been traveling toward us for millions of years. Sailing taught me the patience and respect for the elements that I now need every single night behind the camera.
What began as a sense of wonder at sea has evolved into a deep technical and artistic journey into our universe.
